On Friday, April 17th, 2026, Design Director Brian Wickersham, FAIA, joined a prestigious group of presenters at the AIA Los Angeles Committee on the Environment’s (COTE) 9th annual 1.5°C Symposium on Climate Change. This year’s symposium explored how climate action can be scaled across projects of every size. Brian and fellow (Re) Building with Resilience panel speakers Jennifer Koster (CEO WorkWell Holdings), Alison MacCracken (Fire Rebuild Liaison, Crest Real Estate), J. Lopez (Retired Assistant Chief, LACFD), and Jeff Denholm (Founder & CEO of Strong Water Technologies & Home Dome) presented diverse case studies and discussed real-world wildfire recovery strategies, including integrating WUI-compliant assemblies, low-carbon materials, water efficiency, and insurance-aligned design.
